AustinEV rolled out to the Central Texas Turnpike Sneak Preview event on Sunday, October 22, 2006. Mark Farver generously brought his MR-2 when several other club members were unable to bring their cars.

Christopher Robison, Aaron Choate, Mark Farver, Derek Bridges and Erik Bigelow all met new people and learned a bit about running and biking events. While most of the people were there to participate in the sporting events, a good number showed an interest in Farver's all electric sportscar. The AustinEV members showed people around the car and siezed the opportunity to let people know that EVs are possible and that there is a group of enthusiasts out there that people can turn to if they have any questions or need help with some of the work on their cars.
