A two-month multimedia campaign sponsored by a national foundation was launched in Austin on Monday to raise awareness about ways to help children in foster care.

The Austin City Council is expected to approve a resolution this week calling on the governing board of the University of Texas to preserve the Lions Municipal Golf Course in West Austin by selling it to the city, trading it for city-owned land or extending its lease.
